The MetalFab 1200W is a compact 3-in-1 unit that welds, cuts by hand and removes rust or paint with one quick-release gun. It runs on 200 to 240 V, is air cooled and ships with a separate wire feeder, and its 8 inch touchscreen holds more than 108 preset parameters. xTool also sells a CNC cutting table that turns the same source into a small sheet cutter.

The MetalFab 1200W suits a small shop or maker space wanting to add laser welding, cutting and cleaning without a major capital outlay, since it runs on standard 200 to 240 V power and is air-cooled with no chiller to plumb in. Processing thickness up to 5 mm covers light gauge sheet and tubing rather than heavy structural work, and the 8 in touchscreen with over 108 presets suits an operator new to laser welding. A shop needing higher power for thicker material or continuous multi-hour production runs should compare the IPG LightWELD 2000 XR or DenaliWeld's water-cooled units instead.
