The gabbiani s is a PC/PLC-controlled single-blade beam saw for chipboard, MDF, plywood, multilayer, fibre and solid wood panels, cut singly or in stacks, and it can be tied into an SCM flexstore panel store. Each air-blowing table section can be switched on or off by its own motor, so parts float only where needed and cut pieces parked on the tables do not slide off. The SAW SET device adjusts the tools electronically after a blade change, and cutting patterns are programmed in Maestro active cut, which also keeps a panel stock list.

The gabbiani s suits a panel producer cutting single sheets or full stacks of chipboard, MDF, plywood or solid wood at volume, where independently switched air-blowing table sections and a panel-stock-tracking control (Maestro active cut) matter more in a busier operation than in a one-off job shop. Cutting lengths from 3,200 to 4,500 mm and blade projection of 95 or 115 mm size the saw to the panel stack heights and lengths a production shop runs, and it can tie into an SCM flexstore panel store for further automation. A small joinery shop cutting occasional single panels would be better matched to HOMAG's smaller SAWTEQ S-100.
