The olimpic 500 is SCM's compact automatic edgebander for small and medium-sized furniture and joinery shops, offered with pneumatic or electronic set-up. It can be fitted with an RT-V1 premilling unit and a 2-motor rounding unit that rounds corners on straight and shaped panels, and SCM's Multiedge device lets each unit switch between two radii with a dedicated tool for each. Edges are loaded automatically from outside the guard, and the machine runs Maestro active edge on a 15 in eye-S or 21 in eye-M console.

Where it fits
The olimpic 500 suits a small or medium furniture or joinery shop wanting an automatic edgebander with optional premilling and two-motor corner rounding, without the cost of a high-output industrial line. Feed speed of 12 m/min and edges from 0.3 to 6 mm cover typical cabinet and joinery work, and the Multiedge device letting each unit switch between two radii helps a shop running mixed straight and shaped panels without retooling. Automatic edge loading from outside the guard keeps the operator away from moving parts. A shop needing 8 m/min or faster industrial throughput would be better matched to the HOMAG EDGETEQ S-300.
