HOMAG positions the EDGETEQ S-300 as the next step for shops that have outgrown an entry-level bander, with servo-adjusted units and multi-level technology that switches between edge profiles automatically. Depending on the model it carries a joint trimming (premilling) unit, a gluing station that runs EVA granulate or PUR, a dual-motor snipping unit, and a profile trimming unit that flush-trims and copies the front and rear corners. The airTec model adds hot-air zero-joint edging, and the machine is run from the woodCommander multi-touch widescreen control.

Where it fits
The EDGETEQ S-300 fits a shop that has outgrown an entry-level bander and needs higher throughput with automatic switching between edge profiles, since the multi-level technology changes profiles without manual resets between jobs. Feed speeds of 8 to 14 m/min and workpiece thickness up to 60 mm suit a busier cabinet or furniture line running mixed edge types in one shift. The airTec model's hot-air zero-joint edging matters for shops selling a barely visible glue line as a finish feature. A small shop banding occasional batches would find this more machine and more automation than it needs, and the Felder G 383 would be a better starting point.
