About HOMAG

Eugen Hornberger and Gerhard Schuler founded Hornberger Maschinenbau oHG in 1960, and Schopfloch, Germany, is still HOMAG's headquarters. The company dates its first edgebanding machine using the hot-cold process to 1962. It later bought specialists such as BRANDT (1976, edgebanding for smaller firms), WEEKE (1986, drilling and fitting) and HOLZMA (1987, panel dividing saws). The Dürr Group completed its majority acquisition of HOMAG in 2014.

The range now covers panel dividing saws, edge banders, CNC machining centres, drilling systems, automation and robotics, surface technology, production software and machinery for timber house construction. Besides Schopfloch, HOMAG lists German sites in Lichtenberg, Hemmoor, Herzebrock, Lemgo and Holzbronn, and it established plants in Brazil, China, Poland and India. A sales and service company, HOMAG Canada, has existed since 1976.

We list two HOMAG models. The EDGETEQ S-300 is a single-sided edge bander running at 8 to 14 m/min, with joint trimming, profile trimming for corner rounding and automatic multi-profile changeover. The SAWTEQ S-100 is HOMAG's smallest horizontal panel dividing saw, with 65 mm blade projection and cutting lengths of 3,200, 3,800 or 4,300 mm; see the other panel saws for alternatives.
