About Amada

Amada Co., Ltd. is a Japanese maker of metalworking machinery with its head office at the Amada Global Innovation Center (AGIC) in Isehara, Kanagawa prefecture. The company gives September 10, 1946 as its founding date. It now acts as the holding company for 99 subsidiaries and affiliates and reported 9,872 consolidated employees as of March 2026. Its six core businesses are sheet metal processing, welding, cutting, grinding machines, stamping presses and printed circuit board processing equipment, supported by in-house controls and software.

Much of the development and manufacturing is done in Japan. The parent and two group companies build sheet metal, cutting, grinding and stamping press equipment in Isehara, while other units produce large presses in Awara (Fukui), sheet metal automation and shears in Nihonmatsu (Fukushima), machine controls in Iwata (Shizuoka) and stamping presses in Tottori. Amada Canada Ltd. has served Canadian industry since 1987 from a head office in Granby, Quebec, with sales and service locations in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

We list two Amada machines. The ENSIS-3015RIe is a 3 x 1.5 m fiber laser with a built-in Rotary Index, so the same machine cuts flat sheet plus round, square and rectangular tube, channel and angle; it sits among our fiber laser cutting machines. The FLW-3000ENSISe M3 is a robotic cell that pairs a 6-axis robot on a 3 m linear carriage with a turn-and-tilt positioner; other options appear under laser welding machines.
