Model 67
Model 67 5 Axis CNC Router
The Model 67 has a five-axis head over a moving aluminum table, and a dual-table version lets the operator load one table while the other is being cut. It comes standard with a 12 HP spindle and a 24 in vertical Z axis, which can be extended to 36 in or 48 in for tall parts. Thermwood builds its own SuperControl CNC and laser-compensates every machine's axis alignment in three dimensions before it ships.

Where it fits
The Model 67 suits a shop trimming plastic parts, building patterns or cutting molds, where the five-axis head over a moving table reaches compound angles a three-axis router cannot, and the dual-table option lets one part be loaded while another is cut. Table sizes from 5 x 5 ft up to 7 x 10 ft and Z travel extendable to 48 in cover most pattern and mold work. Because Thermwood markets it mainly for plastics with wood as a secondary use, a shop whose main work is flat panel or solid wood cutting would be better matched to a dedicated wood-router model such as the SCM morbidelli m100.
Confirm before you order
- Confirm current standard spindle rating (12 HP or optional 16 HP) for the materials being cut
- Check whether the continuous C axis option is needed for the shop's typical part geometry
- Verify Z-axis travel required (24, 36 or 48 in) against the tallest parts or molds planned
