SafanDarley Made in Netherlands
E-Brake 40-1600
E-Brake 35-40T Premium Ergonomic
The E-Brake Premium drives its upper beam with servo motors through SafanDarley's patented roller and belt system, so there is no hydraulic oil, pump or tank to maintain. The Ergonomic version is laid out around the operator, with an adjustable seat and footrest for bending small parts in long runs. It ships with the EC10 touch-screen control and CNC Y1-Y2, X and R axes.

Where it fits
The E-Brake 40-1600 suits a shop bending small parts in long runs where operator comfort and cycle speed matter, since the fully electric servo drive removes hydraulic oil, pump and tank maintenance, and the Ergonomic version's adjustable seat and footrest let an operator work seated through a shift. At 44 US tons over 60 in it is sized for small-part work rather than heavy plate, and fast 425 in/min closing and return speeds keep cycle times short on high-part-count jobs. A shop bending larger or thicker parts should compare SafanDarley's larger 35-1250 in the same E-Brake series or a hydraulic press brake instead.
Confirm before you order
- Confirm whether the adjustable seat and footrest ergonomic package is included or a separate option
- Check maximum daylight needed (23 in standard, or 590, 650 or 690 mm optional) for the tooling planned
- Verify machine weight directly with SafanDarley, since the published figure appears to contain a unit error
