The PPEB 640/61 is the largest standard PPEB, with 700 tons of force over a 240 in bed and a servo-hydraulic system built in-house by LVD. Linear encoders mounted to the bed read ram position independently of frame deflection, and the 500 and 640 ton models use a modular six-axis backgauge. LVD configures the PPEB with options such as extra daylight, wider tables, hydraulic clamping and tandem installation, and runs it from the 19 in Touch-B control.
