The HGL 2606 is the shortest model in Baykal's HGL swing-beam shear line, cutting 6 mm mild steel or 4 mm stainless over 2560 mm. It runs a fixed 1.6 degree rake at up to 24 strokes per minute, with 15 hydraulic hold-downs and a motorized 750 mm backgauge. At about 4.7 t it suits smaller fabrication shops.

The HGL 2606 suits a smaller fabrication shop cutting 6 mm mild steel or thinner stainless on shorter 2,560 mm stock, where Baykal's shortest HGL swing-beam model keeps both footprint and weight, about 4.7 tonnes, manageable for a shop without heavy-duty floor loading. Fifteen hydraulic hold-downs and a fixed 1.6 degree rake keep the cut simple and repeatable for straightforward sheet metal shearing rather than variable-angle work. A shop cutting thicker plate up to 13 mm or needing longer stock lengths should look at the Durma VS 3013 or Ermaksan CNC HVR 3100-10 instead.
