About WM Thermoforming

WM Thermoforming Machines SA is a Swiss builder of thermoforming machines, based in Stabio in southern Switzerland. WM was founded in 1995 on the base of predecessor companies going back to 1933, including TFT, founded in 1981. It is a family business: Dario Gotti took over from his father Roberto in 2008. The company passed 1,000 machines sold in 2018, the year it adopted its current name.

WM specialises in roll-fed machines for disposable and food packaging. Its FT series uses a tilting platen with punch and die trimming in the mould; the TWIST is a camless tilting-mould machine, the FC series is fully electric and the FX series works with steel rule dies. INTEC integrated lines and auxiliary units such as preheaters, rim rollers and stackers complete the range.

We list the FT 700, a tilting-platen thermoformer with punch and die in-mould trim for disposable cups, lids, dairy pots and deep-drawn containers. Compare it with our other thermoforming machines. Plants weighing plastic against paper for cups can also look at our paper cup machines and the food packaging and disposables page.

A good fit for

  • Dairy and food packaging plants forming cups, pots and lids
  • Disposable cup makers running high-volume roll-fed production
  • Producers of deep-drawn containers that need clean in-mould trimming
