About Mazak

Mazak is the brand of Yamazaki Mazak Corporation, a Japanese machine tool group established in 1919 with its world headquarters in Oguchi, Aichi Prefecture. The group runs 11 manufacturing plants: five in Japan, two in China and one each in the United States (Florence, Kentucky), the United Kingdom (Worcester), Singapore and India. It reported about 8,800 employees as of December 2025.

Alongside its metal cutting machine tools, Mazak builds laser cutting systems. In North America these are handled by Mazak Optonics Corporation in Elgin, Illinois, the group's laser subsidiary. The laser range covers 2D sheet machines (the OPTIPLEX family, including NEO, HP, Ez and bevel versions, plus the STX), 3D lasers (FG-220 and FG-400 NEO), tube and pipe lasers (FT-150 NEO and FT-250), loading automation and Mazak's own CNC, programming and monitoring software.

Two Mazak lasers are in our range. The OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO is an enclosed 1.5 x 3 m (5 x 10 ft) fiber laser with 4 to 20 kW oscillators and beam-shaping control, listed with our fiber laser cutting machines. The FT-150 NEO is a 3 kW tube laser for round pipe up to 152 mm (6 in) and square tube up to 125 mm (4.92 in), fed from a bundle loader.
