About Haco

Haco is a Belgian builder of sheet metal machinery, founded in 1965 and now organized as the Haco Group, with its headquarters in Ardooie. Alongside the metalworking range, the group supplies woodworking machines, and its Haco Service division looks after installed equipment.

On the sheet metal side, Haco makes press brakes, shears and laser cutting systems. Its contact directory lists group sites in Ieper (Haco Ypres) and Zwevezele in Belgium, the Bliss-Bret companies in Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton and Montbard in France and in Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovakia, a Haco Slovakia site in the same town and Haco India in Bawal, Haryana. There are also subsidiaries in France and Western Australia. For North America, Haco USA is based in Houston, Texas, and the company refers to a North American dealer network.

The Haco TSX 3012 is a 3 m hydraulic guillotine shear with a variable rake angle, rated for 12 mm mild steel, and it sets the blade gap automatically for the material thickness. The TSX version also brings Haco's SC200 touch-screen control. It is listed with our other shears, and the swing beam vs guillotine shear comparison sets out how the two designs differ in cut quality and upkeep.

A good fit for

  • Plate shops cutting mild steel blanks up to 12 mm over a 3 m length
  • Fabricators who switch thickness often and want the blade gap set automatically
  • Shops squaring sheet before bending, punching or laser work
