About Durma
Durma is the export brand of Durmazlar Makina, founded by Ali Durmaz in Bursa, Turkey, in 1956. The company made its first export, to Germany, in 1975 and built its first CNC hydraulic press brake in 1989. Its Bursa sites include the Başköy plant (1999), the 60,000 m² Ataevler central factory (2000) and a laser factory opened in 2005, the year Durmazlar produced Turkey's first laser cutting machine.
The range goes well beyond bending and shearing: turret and rotary punch presses, fiber lasers for sheet and tube, plasma tables, ironworkers, plate rolls, profile benders, corner notchers and panel benders. In North America the brand is handled by Durma North America, a Durmazlar subsidiary that opened in Michigan in January 2018. It runs an 8,400 m² (90,000 sq ft) facility with a showroom, training area, spare parts department and service technicians.
Our catalog lists the Durma AD-R 30220, a 220-ton, 3 m CNC press brake from the synchronized AD-R series, alongside other press brakes. For cutting blanks there is the VS 3013, a 3 m CNC variable-rake guillotine shear rated for 13 mm mild steel, where the adjustable rake helps limit twist on narrow strips. More options are on the shears page, and our sheet metal fabrication page shows how the two machines fit a shop.
A good fit for
- Fabrication shops bending 3 m parts from sheet up to medium plate
- Plants shearing thick mild steel blanks where narrow strips must stay flat
- Shops that value a maker with its own North American parts and service subsidiary
